How is my personal information being managed?

Throughout the RIW Programs life, personal information (as defined by the Privacy Act 1988) has been a serious matter given careful consideration. The manner in which information about an individual can be collected, used and disclosed is regulated by the Privacy Act, particularly in relation to sensitive information (such as health and medical details). The RIW tender evaluation included an assessment of privacy responsibilities within the context of delivering the RIW Program. Legal representatives and privacy experts from the RIW Tender Evaluation Committee organisations, the Australasian Railway Association and Metro Trains Australia all ensured that robust contractual obligations were put in place in respect to privacy.
