Business rules provide the minimum acceptance criteria for verifying competence across RIW Program participants.
What does this mean?
All competencies added to a worker’s profile must meet the minimum acceptance criteria defined by the business rule. Note: Check the rule first to ensure the evidence uploaded meets the requirements.
A worker’s RIW virtual card is accessible via a freely downloadable app called Vircarda. After the app has been downloaded and installed, a Rail Industry Worker can load and store their virtual RIW card on their smartphone.
If you already have a Vircarda account but can’t access it, you may need to troubleshoot if you’re encountering issues logging in. If you don’t yet have a Vircarda account, follow our instructions for registering a new Vircarda account.
After launching the app, you will be presented with two options:

On the login screen, click on Forgotten Password Or Email Address.
From the Forgotten Password screen, enter the email address associated with your account. If you need to remember which email address you have used with your account, click on Forgotten Email Address to have the email address sent to the mobile phone number registered on your RIW profile.
