System Updates

The following release notes detail what’s new in the RIW System.  As always, we welcome your feedback and ideas for improvement or reporting bugs by emailing info@riw.net.au.

UPCOMING RELEASE – June 2026 (4.15)

RIW cards no longer have a fixed expiry date.
As part of this update, RIW cards have moved away from the previous 5-year renewal cycle. Your card remains valid for as long as you are enrolled in the RIW Program and your annual subscription is current. Cards will currently display a fixed system date of 31/12/9999; this is a placeholder during a transition period and will be removed in a future update. For more information, see Does a Rail Industry Worker card expire?
Pricing changes effective 1 July 2026.
The following fee changes take effect from 1 July 2026. These changes apply to the relevant service request forms and RIW system configuration. Annual subscription rates remain unchanged and are determined by the number of active primary cardholders linked to the employer.
