We’d
like to provide you with an update on the roll out of the New Ways of
Working (NWOW) program.
The
NWOW program will result in four major changes that will affect track
access and track protection across the network. These include:
The
Absolute Occupation Track Protection Manual.
The
TFPC Track Protection Manual, for activities outside of an
Absolute Occupation, e.g. maintenance activities.
Version
2 of the Work on Track Application which will integrate and
digitise workflows part of the TFPC Track Protection Manual
alongside other efficiencies.
An
updated and enhanced TFPC Training Package (New and Renewals)
aligned with the above changes.
With
the upcoming Public Holiday, it has been decided to move the go live
date for the implementation of the Absolute Occupation Track Protection
Manual until Friday, 5th November to ensure there is SME support
available when TFPCs are implementing the NWOW for the first
time. This includes the Absolute Occupation procedures and the
associated forms, such as the Master PTFL form, PTFL form and Occupation
Access Approval form.
The
rollout of the TFPC Track Protection Manual and Work on Track
Application version 2 will be delayed enabling a phased approach to the
introduction of the new procedures. We are currently working
through the impacts of the delay of these components and will
communicate shortly the impacts of this decision.
