Changes to PTA job roles – requirement for Safety Critical Communication training
Rail safety workers who undertake communications in the Public Transport Authority (PTA) network must exercise good practice communication behaviours to meet the performance expectations of 9102-000-001 – NS001 Network Communication. From the 1 July 2022, all PTA job roles (except Supervised Worker) will require:

If a worker has not completed Safety Critical Communication Training by the 1 July 2022, their RIW job role (except Supervised Worker) will become invalid until the competency has been uploaded to RIW.
