ARTC is continually encouraging the improvement of understanding risks and risk controls as part of a collective journey toward the Zero Harm Strategy.
ARTC have used the past three years to focus on a series of initiatives to eliminate harm to colleagues, customers and communities. As part of this ongoing commitment, ARTC is ensuring 100% data accuracy in the RIW System with all contractors and their associated job roles.
There has been considerable success, and this has been reflected in both the positive safety culture and a reduction in the number of incidents that have occurred. However, there is more to be done to ensure a safe work environment.
What does this mean for me?
In the RIW System individuals are required to hold a current ARTC Certificate of Currency for any ARTC Safeworking job role.
From 9 September 2022, ARTC is mandating all contractors ensure their ARTC certificates of currency, and required units of competency, are uploaded into the RIW System for each safeworking job role on the ARTC Network.
The requirements for each state and each safeworking job role can be found in the ARTC Safeworking Matrix.
