Recently, ARTC let you know of an important step every contractor must complete in the RIW System before undertaking work on the ARTC Network.
Effective 14 of October 2022, no worker will be able to access ARTC’s corridor without the required ARTC Certificate of Currency and successful completion of training requirements as per ARTC’s Matrices. ARTC job roles within the RIW System will be updated to reflect this.
Please note: this affects Safeworking and Track & Civil roles. ARTC acknowledges previous communication only referenced the Safeworking job roles, however it has been identified that Track & Civil job roles also require updating.
What is required from you?
If you currently hold an ARTC Safeworking or Track & Civil valid job role, your Employer Administrator will be required to review your ARTC Certificate of Currency to ensure it has been issued by an ARTC approved Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

All contractors must ensure their ARTC Certificates of Currency, and required units of competency, are uploaded into the RIW System for each Safeworking and Track & Civil job role on the ARTC Network.
If you are working on the network without a current ARTC Certificate of Currency, you will need to engage an approved ARTC Registered Training Organisation and complete your required training and assessment.
If you have already updated your ARTC Certificates of Currency and completed the required units of competency, thank you.
ARTC and our partners are committed and have been working hard to ensure everyone who works on ARTC’s Network can think safe, work safe and go home safe. This assurance is not new, and we appreciate the effort this may take for contractors to ensure compliance.
