ARTC will implement a rule change to TA20 on the 3 July 2022 at 0001hrs AEST. The change is about the issue, receival and recording of a Signalmans Caution Order.
The information will now be contained in TA20, Section 4 – Defective Fixed Signals Rule 3, e, f and g Trailing Points: Defective Home Signal at ‘Stop’. Inclusive of change to the Signalman’s Caution Order form 2377.
Who will be impacted?
RIW cardholders who hold any of the following Victoria based roles on their RIW profile must complete a one hour briefing package to remain valid. This will either be delivered online via the RIW E-Learning platform or by your organisation. ARTC will provide further updates soon, including details of what type of briefings (E-Learning or organisation training) needs to be completed for cardholders who are impacted.
Roles (VIC only) impacted by the upcoming changes are:
- Network Controllers
- Rail Traffic Crews (Drivers)
- ARTC – Safeworking Level 1 – Victoria (RIW role holders)
- ARTC – Track Vehicle Operator – Victoria (RIW role holders) (Excluding Road Rail Vehicle Operators)
