On 12 October 2022, the RIW System released over 90 system improvements. We have worked with industry and listened to your feedback, delivering new features or fixes to ensure the RIW System continues to provide a system fit for industry. Read on for what’s new for Premium Functionality Employers.
Set drug or alcohol test pass requirements independently for job roles
Previously when it came to setting up an employer job role, you could define whether a Drug and Alcohol Test Pass was required. This has now been changed to allow a Drug Test Pass AND / OR Alcohol Test Pass requirement to be set independently, allowing employers to better manage their requirements.
All employer job roles that had the old Drug and Alcohol Test pass requirement have been transitioned to now having both options set independently. Please review your employer job roles to ensure they continue to meet your requirements.
We have added new functionality to record Additional Medical Information (AMI) for Rail Industry Workers, which allows the management of a variety of medical information that is not a rail health assessment (medical) or a drug & alcohol assessment. For more information on this check out What is additional medical information?
We are currently accepting submissions to include new AMI types in the RIW System, so if you have a type that you would like to manage for your workforce, please submit a Request for Additional Medical Information Type.
If required, an Additional Medical Information type can also be included in your employer job role requirements by clicking on Additional Medical Information from the left-hand menu on the Edit a Job Role screen.
Job Role Validity Report
We have also updated the Job Role Validity Report for Premium Functionality Employers to include new reporting fields of crew name and crew project.
