On 12 October 2022, the RIW System released over 90 system improvements. We have worked with industry and listened to your feedback, delivering new features or fixes to ensure the RIW System continues to provide a system fit for industry. Read on for what’s new for Network Operators.
Receive notifications of cardholders denied access to site
A Network contact can now receive email and SMS notifications when a cardholder is denied access to site on their network in excess of site working hour rules, and when a risk assessed deny swipe override is performed by an Access Controller on the excess working hours.
We have added a deny reason to a spot check swipe event when a cardholder or visitor is denied access to a site on your Network. Swipe events and deny reasons can be viewed from the swipes tab in the RIW System, and can also be reported in custom reports.
On the swipes screen, click search and once complete, the results can be filtered by Swipe Event.
Geomapping in the RIW System
A geomapping feature is now available on the swipes tab and the muster list. The map shows the number of swipe events at a site, or people on site in the muster list. For this function to work, site addresses must be populated and validated.
We have added new system functionality to record Additional Medical Information (AMI) for Rail Industry Workers which allows the management of a variety of medical information that is not a rail health assessment (medical) or a drug & alcohol assessment. An AMI type can also contribute to job role validity for Network job roles.
This functionality allows for items to expire after a set period, enabling companies to manage and monitor for reassessments. For more information on this check out What is additional medical information?
We are yet to approve AMI types for capture, but will provide more information on this when confirmed. If you have an AMI type you would like to be included in the RIW System, please submit a Request for Additional Medical Information Type.
New Resource Centre
We have added a new resource centre in the RIW System, which delivers personalised in-system help for users. Check out RIW System Resource Centre for more information.
