On 12 October 2022, the RIW System released over 90 system improvements. We have worked with industry and listened to your feedback, delivering new features or fixes to ensure the RIW System continues to provide a system fit for industry. Read on for what’s new for those who manage sites.
Deny reason notifications
We have added additional email and SMS notifications for designated site contacts when a cardholder is denied access to site for all deny reasons, including spot check swipe events. The deny reason is available on the swipes tab and also as a report column in custom reports (People > Swipes > Deny Reason).
We have also added an email and SMS notification to designated Network contacts when a cardholder is denied access to your site, on their network, in excess of site working hour rules or when a risk assessed deny swipe override is performed by an Access Controller on the excess working hours.
Geomapping in the RIW System
A geomapping feature is now available on the swipes tab and the muster list. The map shows the number of swipe events at a site, or people on site in the muster list. For this function to work, site addresses must be populated and validated.
You can now nominate a first visit date for visitors when registering visitors in the RIW System. If a pass is created with ‘first valid date of today’, the pass is valid from the time the pass is created. If a visitor is registered with a future date, the visitor pass is valid from midnight of that date.
Visitors must now accept a Permission Access Agreement (PAA) to manage their personal information. A link to the PAA is provided on their visitor pass and their PAA status is automatically "approved" on their visitor profile in the RIW System. Any visitors who do not swipe in to a site or confirm acceptance on a kiosk within 30 days of visitor pass issue will have their details deleted from the RIW System.
Configure site briefings on a kiosk so they show once (first time) or every time. This configuration can be set for both visitors and cardholders independently.
