Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

In response to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, the Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Program will provide updates where they apply to delivery of the RIW Program. You can find these updates on our dedicated COVID-19 update page.

Whilst the RIW team is undertaking the necessary safe working measures to protect the health and wellbeing of staff as part of COVID-19 precautions, the RIW Service Desk will continue to operate at full capacity at this time. This includes 24/7 phone support, and delivery of competency verification and ticket support as per usual.

Annual company subscription reminder

Annual company subscription reminders will shortly be issued to all companies who have a renewal date of 30 June 2020. These emails are sent at 12 weeks, 4 weeks and 1 week prior to expiry. 

Company tier levels were also recently adjusted based on the primary employee count for each company as of 31 March 2020. To understand the company subscription tier structure, please refer to the Pricing & Fees FAQ on our website. 

For details on how to pay your annual company subscription have a look at our Quick Guide – How to pay the annual company subscription fee. The default payment setting for Tiers 2-5 is through PayPal. Tier 1 organisations can either pay immediately online with PayPal, or through a pay on account (POA) arrangement with Metro Trains Australia.

 
RIW Breathalyser Integration

The Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Program is excited to announce a partnership with Breathalyser Sales and Service and Alcolizer Technology, who are recognised as leaders in the supply, service and calibration of high quality drug and alcohol testing equipment.
 
The RIW Program is now ready to integrate with the AlcoMeasure Self-Testing Unit for automatic testing and recording in the RIW system, and will shortly also integrate with the Alcolizer Wall-Mounted Unit and handheld devices. Integration with Alcolizer products is anticipated to be available from June-July 2020.
