A new RIW card application costs $310.00 +GST, which includes:

Your RIW profile set up with issue of an RIW card (physical and virtual)
Your first-year card subscription paid
An identification check
Competencies uploaded to your RIW profile
Rail Health (medical) Assessment uploaded to your RIW profile

Applications take two business days.

Please ensure you have all your documentation ready for upload before commencing this application. These documents could include your rail health (medical) assessment, trade certificates as well as any rail or construction specific training certificates you currently hold.

The competencies applied to your profile will be based on the information provided during this application only. You should seek clarification from the Network Operator or Contractor In Charge as to what you might need to work on site.

When completing this application, please ensure the details provided EXACTLY match your identification documents. For example, if you go by Tim and your driver’s licence (or ID being provided) says Timothy, please ensure your first name is completed as Timothy.
