New National refresher competencies now available for inclusion on existing Network and Employer job roles
After an extensive review of power and electrical competencies with industry subject matter experts, some competencies have been updated to require 12-month refresher training for cardholders to remain current and competent. These are:
UETTDRRF08 Perform EWP Controlled Descent Escape
UETDRRF002 Perform EWP Rescue
UETDRRF003 Perform Pole Top Rescue
UETTDRRF06B Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel
As your organisation owns a job role that contains one of these competencies, you are now required to review and update the composition of your job roles to include the new refresher competencies detailed below:
These refresher competencies have been created at the National level with a 12-month expiry to manage this new requirement.
Updates to job roles may require careful planning by your organisation. Each refresher competency will need its own individual grouping to ensure the expiry period is captured when updating the job role. If a refresher competency is added to the existing grouping, it will not be enforced as the non-expiring version will override the refresher competency. Also, adding a new refresher competency to a job role will invalidate the job role if the refresher competency is not currently held by the cardholder.
