Message for Access Controllers, Spot Checkers and those who Self-Swipe
The RIW App allows an authorised person nominated by their organisation to scan a Rail Industry Worker Card (physical or virtual) to check in and verify workers to ensure they have the appropriate, current and valid competencies to undertake roles before entering a worksite.
The RIW App integrates with the RIW System, however, if an update is made to the requirements of a network, project or site, these settings may not be immediately fetched and surfaced to the RIW App if you haven’t logged out. To ensure you have the most current and up to date requirements, and after you have swiped out your team, be sure to log out of the RIW App at the end of each use.
How to log out of the RIW App
Click on the More Options icon (three dots) in the top right corner of the screen and then Logout.
Confirm you are Ok to exit the application.
This step ensures you are completely removed from the site and can then start a new team on the next login with any updated requirements.
Need to know more?
The Access Control & Spot Check Knowledge Centre on the RIW website contains lots of information about how to use the RIW App, including a video walkthrough. As always, if you have any questions that can’t be found in the Knowledge Centre, you can get in touch with the RIW Service Desk on 1300 101 682 or info@riw.net.au.
