Rail Industry Worker – Update to Permission Access Agreement and Privacy Policy

The Rail Industry Worker Program (RIW) has recently extended the deadline for RIW cardholders to accept the Permission Access Agreement (PAA) to 30 June 2020. To ensure your RIW profile is not made inactive after this date, you must create a myRIW profile and accept the PAA, or use your RIW card by swiping on to a site.

UPDATE TO PERMISSION ACCESS AGREEMENT

Your participation in the RIW program is governed by the Permission Access Agreement (PAA) and the RIW Privacy Policy which have recently been updated. Please read the documents carefully as they contain important details about how the RIW program works, including how information about you may be collected, used, disclosed and destructed for the purposes of the RIW program, as well as your responsibilities as a participant in the RIW program.

By using your RIW card you will be deemed to have agreed to the PAA and Privacy Policy. However, you should confirm your agreement to the PAA by registering your RIW card on the myRIW system.

If you fail to use or register your RIW card by 30 June 2020, then your RIW card may be made inactive.

If you have already accepted the PAA, then no further action is required.

myRIW allows you to manage your RIW profile on the web.  You can view your employers, associations, job roles, competencies and medical results. You can also update your personal details or ask your employer to make corrections to your profile. Use myRIW to accept employment or association requests, and provide consent to the Permission Access Agreement.

If you are a newly created worker in the RIW system, you will receive an email invitation to create a myRIW profile through accepting an employment request. If your profile was migrated from the previous system, you can create a new myRIW profile at any time. We have developed a short video and Quick Guide – myRIW to help you.
